Aurora Gold Mine: what the operating figures mean.
Solar capacity, processing capability and local employment describe different dimensions of a remote industrial operation. Read together, they inform questions about reliability, production and social value. They do not measure one individual's performance.
Source-led operating context
Three figures. Three different questions.
Each figure is reproduced at the scope, date and measurement basis stated by the publisher. These are employer/group-reported disclosures rather than independently audited outcome estimates.

Energy infrastructure · Installed capacity49.4 MW of solar photovoltaic capacity
Zijin Gold International reported a total installed solar capacity of 49.4 MW after the Aurora expansion commissioned on 8 April 2026. This is an installed generating-capacity measure. It is not the same as measured energy output, mine-wide renewable electricity share or a separately audited carbon reduction.
Why it matters: the industrial questions concern hourly load, storage, dispatchable backup, diesel displacement and plant reliability. A capacity headline alone does not settle those issues.

Company project profile
Industrial operations · Processing capability10,000 tonnes per day of processing capacity
The Aurora project overview reports processing capacity of 10,000 tonnes per day. Rated or reported plant capacity is not a guarantee of actual daily throughput, recovered gold, annual production or operational performance.
Why it matters: processing demand influences industrial electricity requirements, infrastructure planning and the consequences of interruptions to an isolated operation.

People · Local workforce composition89% Guyanese representation
In its June 2026 report on Aurora Gold Mine's Employer of the Year recognition, Zijin Mining stated that Guyanese nationals accounted for 89% of the workforce. This is a source-dated workforce-composition figure, not a measure of executive succession, leadership representation, employee satisfaction or the impact of any one social programme.
Why it matters: local employment is one input into social value. A broader evaluation would also consider skills, career progression, supplier opportunities, occupational safety and community outcomes.

Evidence and attribution
Operating context is not personal credit.
These are group-published facts about AGM Inc.'s Aurora operation. No individual is credited here with engineering, financing, commissioning or constructing the solar system, delivering plant capacity or producing the workforce percentage. Public professional evidence should describe a person's verifiable responsibilities separately from employer-level project achievements.
For leadership evaluation, the relevant distinction is between the environment an executive works within, the responsibilities assigned to the executive, the contribution supported by sources and the wider results delivered by the organisation.
